VOLUNTEER IN FRANCE

Planet Citizens - Language Training 2024 is a non-profit organization based in Paris Region. We combine Physical activities and language teaching and encourage global citizenship for elementary schools children in underserved areas.

 

By getting European volunteers to assist elementary school teachers, we transform physical education into language immersion sessions.

 

​THE VOLUNTEERING MISSION

The mission is for any European from 18 to 30 years old passionate about coaching young people, with good communication skills.

​

While always teaming up with the clubs’ coaches, sports teachers and Planet Citizens' staff, the volunteer will be tasked with the following missions:

 

• Assist sports teachers in local elementary schools (6-11 years old pupils) in preparing and conducting Physical Education lessons.

• Create opportunities for pupils to practice English during PE lessons

• Assist coaches of our partner clubs in preparing and conducting trainings.

• Create opportunities for the club's members to practice English during and outside training sessions


• Get involved in the development of the "Sport in English" pedagogical method 

• Get involved in the local community

 ​

The volunteers are also expected to join our partner clubs as athletes.

DURATION

January - August 2025

Maximum of 35 hours a week

ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORT

The volunteer will share a flat with the organization's two other volunteers

Accommodation costs are covered

A transportation pass is provided
, allowing the volunteer to use all public transport

​

COMPENSATION

As part of a European Solidarity Corps mission, the volunteer gets a monthly €400 compensation fee.
